The Hollowing and the Becoming.

To be a Shadow Witch is to die before you die. It is to be hollowed out by your own hands, to carve away everything false, weak, and borrowed until nothing remains but the raw, unshaken core of your being. The path is not for those who seek comfort, nor for those who desire power without sacrifice. It is for those who have stood in the wreckage of their own soul and refused to look away.

A true Shadow Witch is forged, not chosen. They do not declare themselves; they are tested—by pain, by loss, by the unbearable weight of knowing too much. And only those who endure without breaking, who face their darkness without flinching, who bleed without resentment—only they earn the right to call themselves by that name.

This is not a path of indulgence. It is a path of annihilation and refinement. If you are not willing to die and rise as something unrecognizable, then leave now. This is not for you.

The Hollowing: Stripping Away the False Self

Most who claim the title of Shadow Witch wear it as a mask. They drape themselves in aesthetics, in symbols, in empty words. They call their wounds power, their bitterness wisdom, and their chaos freedom. But a mask is not a face, and a title means nothing if the soul beneath it is still shackled.

A true Shadow Witch is stripped bare. There is no mask, no shield, no armour—only the self, raw and unadorned. To reach this state, one must undergo the Hollowing: the ruthless, merciless destruction of everything that is not real.

The Four Gates of the Hollowing

These are the trials that separate the weak from the worthy, the pretenders from the initiated. Each must be faced and survived. No one can take them for you.

1. The Gate of Self-DestructionLetting the Lie Die

The first gate is the most brutal: the death of who you thought you were. Every illusion, every story you have told yourself about your strength, your past, your worth—it must be torn apart. The Shadow Witch does not hide behind trauma, ego, or self-righteous suffering. You are not special because you have suffered. You are not powerful because you have been wounded.

The weak cling to their pain because it defines them. The Shadow Witch lets it burn.

This is the first death. Most never recover from it.

2. The Gate of the AbyssFacing the Void Without Running

To step into the abyss is to let everything go. Every belief, every truth, every certainty—gone. It is to stand in pure nothingness, stripped of meaning, stripped of identity. It is to realize that everything you ever thought was real might be an illusion.

Most people cannot handle this. They need certainty. They need gods, spirits, rules, something to cling to. The Shadow Witch walks without a crutch. They accept uncertainty. They understand that the abyss does not answer—it only reflects.

If you cannot handle silence, if you cannot handle not knowing, you are not ready.

3. The Gate of the MirrorEmbracing What You Fear Most

This is where most break. The mirror does not show what you wish to see—it shows what you hide. Your failures, your arrogance, your cowardice, your resentment, your secret hunger for control, for vengeance, for validation. Every lie you tell yourself is laid bare.

Many cannot survive this because they cannot face the truth of who they are. They lash out, deflect, blame others, pretend they are already healed, pretend they have already done the work. But the mirror is merciless.

The Shadow Witch does not flinch. They look into the mirror, and they accept what they see. They do not justify, they do not excuse. They simply acknowledge: This is who I am. This is what I must change. This is what I must become.

4. The Gate of the SeveringReleasing Everything That Owns You

You cannot walk this path if you are bound—to people, to identities, to wounds, to expectations. If something outside of you has power over you, then you are not free. And if you are not free, you are not a Shadow Witch.

This is the final gate: the severing of all chains. The ability to walk away from anything, no matter how much it hurts. To let go of love if it weakens you, to let go of titles if they limit you, to let go of past identities if they no longer serve.

This does not mean being cold or unfeeling—it means being sovereign. It means being able to choose, rather than being controlled by subconscious wounds and unhealed attachments.

Only those who pass through all four gates can claim mastery. All others are still bound.

The Becoming: What It Takes to Be a True Shadow Witch

Those who survive the Hollowing are no longer the same. They do not think the same, feel the same, or move through the world the same way. They have become something else. Something untouched.

A true Shadow Witch is defined by three things:

1. Absolute Self-HonestyNo Lies, No Masks, No Excuses

They do not lie to themselves. Ever.

They do not pretend they are more powerful than they are. They do not make excuses for their failures. They do not wear masks to impress others.

This is the hardest discipline. Most people build their entire identity around self-deception. The Shadow Witch does not. They accept their darkness, their weaknesses, their flaws—and they own them. They do not seek validation. They do not perform. They simply are.

2. The Ability to Walk AloneNo Fear, No Crutches, No Need for Approval

They are their own master. They do not need a coven, a teacher, a label. They do not need permission to exist.

A Shadow Witch can walk into the void, into the unknown, and stand alone. They do not fear solitude, nor do they seek belonging out of weakness.

If you cannot be alone—truly alone—then you are still bound.

3. The Will to Shape RealityNot Victim, Not Pawn, But Sovereign

A true Shadow Witch bends reality. They do not wait for fate to decide. They do not hope or wish or beg. They decide.

They understand that life does not care about fairness, that magic does not care about morality, that the world will not hand them what they want. And so they take it.

They know that power is not given—it is forged.

And if something stands in their way, they become the force that moves it.

Final Truth: You Are Either Ready, or You Are Not

This is the path. There are no shortcuts. No initiations, no rituals, no titles can make you what you are not. You either walk this road, stripped and unshaken, or you are another shadow lost in the abyss.

Most will never reach the end.

But for those who do—there are no chains left to bind them.

They are free.

And there is nothing more powerful than that.
