Ritus Magna: Coniuratio Umbrae et Famis.

(The Great Rite: The Conjuration of Shadow and Hunger)

Purpose:
To awaken the practitioner's sovereignty as a vampiric shadow witch; to formally bind oneself to the currents of hidden power; to call the abyss into the bones and seal the body against betrayal.

Prerequisites:

  • Timing:
Night of a New Moon (or a night when no moon is visible). Midnight is the sacred hour.

  • Fasting:
The practitioner must fast for no less than 12 hours before the rite, consuming no flesh, no salt, and no fermented drink.

  • Silence:
From sunset until the beginning of the ritual, the practitioner must maintain total silence — neither speaking, humming, nor making unnecessary sound.

Tools and Materials:

  • Altar:
A flat stone or black-draped table. No icons of divinity — the Self is the only god here.

  • Obsidian Mirror:
Positioned upright on the altar, so the practitioner sees themselves reflected by candlelight.

  • Candles:
Three black candles, anointed with myrrh oil, placed in a triangle around the mirror.

  • Bowl of Blood:
Fresh blood (either own blood, ritually drawn via sterile lancet, or symbolic blood such as wine mixed with ash).

  • Incense:
    Myrrh and storax burned together.

  • Ritual Blade:
A knife or dagger, consecrated to no other purpose but sorcery.

  • Chalice:
Black glass or metal, used only in magical rites.

  • Black Cloth:
To cover the practitioner’s shoulders — a mantle of sovereignty.

Stage I: The Summoning of Stillness.

Preparation:
The practitioner dresses fully in black garments.
Bare feet upon stone or bare earth.
The three candles are lit, forming the sacred triangle of sovereignty.

Action:
Standing before the altar, eyes closed, the practitioner slows the breath until heartbeat and breath are nearly indistinguishable.

Mindset:
Total focus. Total silence. No thought beyond the work at hand.

Stage II: Binding of the Shadow.

Action:
Anoint the brow and palms with blood/or wine from the bowl.
Stand before the mirror.
Fix gaze into one's own reflection — and beyond it.

Speak aloud, with solemnity and grave tone:

Oratio Prima: Vinculum Umbrae et Famis.

(Refer to full incantation previously provided.)

Stage III: Ingression of the Black Currents.

Action:
Raise both arms slowly outward, palms upward, in gesture of receiving.

Visualize rivers of black starlight pouring from the unseen heavens into the open palms, flowing downward into the heart and bones.

Speak aloud:

Oratio Secunda: Vocatio Fluminum Tenebrarum

Stage IV: The Draught of the Night.

Action:
Lift the chalice.
Pour a drop of blood (or symbolic substitute) into the chalice and whisper over it words of silent power known only to the soul.

Drink — imagining the elixir binding itself into the marrow, the Self reborn sovereign.

No other words spoken aloud.

Stage V: Sealing the Temple of Flesh.

Action:
Visualize the black fire sphere — impervious, absolute — surrounding the body, sealing the work.

Speak aloud, with finality and commanding voice:

Oratio Tertia: Maledictio Furum Lucis

Stage VI: Silent Departure.

Action:
Snuff the candles in reverse order of lighting, not by breath but by pinching or covering.
Leave the altar undisturbed until dawn.
Speak no word until sunrise.

Afterward:
Consume bread and black wine at sunrise to close the fast. (See Recipes here)

Notes on Bearing and Spirit During the Ceremony:

  • Voice:
Must be slow, clear, resonant — every syllable a weapon and a vow.

  • Eyes:
Gaze must be unwavering — like a king or queen addressing their army.

  • Movements:
Every movement slow, deliberate, sovereign. Nothing rushed, nothing wasted.

  • Heart:
Complete sincerity. No performance. No casual spirit. Only true invocation of the soul’s absolute authority over its fate.

Failure to maintain solemnity risks opening the self to parasitism, mockery by wandering spirits, or internal fragmentation.

Closing Note:

"Power belongs not to the bold, nor to the wise, but to the silent and the sovereign who remember their own abyss."
